Before each big update, a global wipe takes place and affects all accounts without exception. A global wipe means that tasks, vendor reputation, money, and other progress, along with all items, are reset, and everyone starts with a new character. Your nickname is saved for you, so you can create a new character with the same nickname even if you join the new season later. Owners of tactical, elite, and supporter editions will receive the bonus items again after the wipe.
Since the game is still in Early Access, wipes are necessary to implement these big updates properly. They ensure a fresh and balanced experience while supporting critical optimizations, new feature integration, balancing changes, bug fixes, and economy adjustments. Wipes also allow you to fully immerse yourself in the updated game world and explore newly introduced gameplay elements. They also provide us with the opportunity to analyze and evaluate the update, and then, based on community feedback and analytics, introduce meaningful improvements.
