The Warfare game mode (or PVP) servers provide maximum realism and allow players to attack other players of enemy factions as well as their own. It is designed to force players to weigh their actions and be mindful of their surroundings, including other players. We understand that sometimes, an accidental friendly kill may occur in the heat of the battle, which is a part of the experience. Unfortunately, sometimes, more deliberate friendly fire may take place. For that reason, a system to report players who kill their own faction members is implemented. If you believe that you were killed in an accident, no action from you is necessary. However, if you suspect that somebody killed you intentionally, you can use the "Report" button on the death screen to let us know.
Players intentionally killing players from the same faction will be disconnected from the server and lose their gear.
If you would prefer to play without the added risk of friendly faction combat, you can always try the Joint Operations (PvE) servers, where player damage is deactivated for friendly as well as opposing factions.
While the game gives players much freedom to express themselves through their actions, we do not wish to encourage repeated or rampant intentional team killing, as we understand it can be detrimental to other players' experience in the game. Further action may be taken against players engaging in repeated team-killing or circumventing the reporting system.
We examine existing systems more closely as we work on the game's development. Based on player feedback, the current state of things may change in the future. We appreciate you taking the time to give us this feedback, and we will forward it to our team for further discussion.
Have a great day!
