Built-in Tools

  1. Windows Game Bar (Xbox Game Bar)

    • Description: Windows 10 and 11 come with a built-in Game Bar that can record gameplay.
    • How to Use:
      1. Press Win + G to open the Game Bar.
      2. Click the record button or press Win + Alt + R to start recording.
      3. Press the same buttons to stop recording.
      4. The recordings are saved in the "Captures" folder inside the "Videos" folder.

Third-Party Software

  1. OBS Studio

    • Description: Open-source software that is widely used for both recording and streaming.
    • How to Use:
      1. Download and install OBS Studio from obsproject.com.
      2. Set up a new scene and add your game window as a source.
      3. Configure the settings (resolution, bitrate, etc.).
      4. Click "Start Recording" to begin recording and "Stop Recording" to end.
      5. The recordings are saved in the specified location in the settings.

  2. NVIDIA ShadowPlay

    • Description: Available for NVIDIA GPU users through GeForce Experience.
    • How to Use:
      1. Download and install GeForce Experience from NVIDIA's website.
