Easy Anti Cheat might be blocked by Windows Defender or other third-party anti-virus software on some systems. In that case, whitelisting the game and anti-cheat might be necessary.
Windows Firewall and Windows Defender Configuration
- Navigate to "Control Panel"
- Go to "System and Security"
- Open "Windows Firewall"
- Select "Advanced Settings"
- Highlight "Inbound Rules"
- Select "New Rule"
- Choose "Program" and click "Next"
- Click "Browse" and add the following path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gray Zone Warfare\GZW\Binaries\Win64\GZWClientSteam-Win64-Shipping
- Click "Open" and then Allow the connection.
- Ensure "Domain", "Private", and "Public" are checked.
- Name the rule "GZW" and click "Finish"
- Repeat the process for: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gray Zone Warfare\GZWClientEAC and C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS\EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe
Configure Your 3rd-party Antivirus:
- Refer to your specific 3rd-party antivirus software’s guide to add an exception for the following GZW files:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gray Zone Warfare\GZW\Binaries\Win64\GZWClientSteam-Win64-Shipping
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gray Zone Warfare\GZWClientEAC
- C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS\EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe
